![]() ![]() If I want to level up as quickly as possible I need to be playing Torment 2 or 3. Supposedly the Torment slider actually does work like this for infinitely powerful characters, but the effect seems to be very small and the large majority of players are unlikely to ever be at a point where they can do Torment 1 just as easily as Normal or at a point where they really need to be able to find those class-specific set items in order to make significant progress in their builds.Įxperience already works this way, and to be fair it provides some reason to play on higher difficulties. Not only does this incentivize playing on higher difficulties, but characters capable of higher difficulties are going to have a smaller set of possible upgrade pieces, so drop rate probably needs to improve with difficulty in order to keep them rewarded at a reasonable rate. You'd sort of expect that higher difficulties would offer better drops/time for characters above a certain threshold. Many people play in order to get loot in order to do higher difficulties. ![]() I mean, basically the whole the point of having loot is to provide a tangible reward for accomplishing things in-game. ![]()
